Oyy, I am exhausted after today. And it’s Monday.. Haha. I’ll be honest; sometimes the thought crosses our minds: “why did I sign up for this again??” But you know what? It always ends up being a huge blessing at the end of the week to see these kids leaving knowing more about God or even taking their first steps as children of God.. Seriously.. It’s worth it!
This week I have 2 VBS’s and 2 backyard clubs in Canwood and Prince Albert. The first VBS had about 25 kids and they were super pumped about being there and loved club which is awesome! The second VBS had 9 kids that pretty much compared everything I did to what the worker last year did haha so I may need to step up my game a little..
The third club only had 2 kids, the host said the kids in that area won’t come even if they are just sitting at home so pray that the Holy Spirit will lead them to come to club!
The fourth club… Oh the fourth club haha. It had about 20 kids that were soo distracted by everything. It really was a challenge to get through both the stories and have more than 4 kids paying attention at a time. BUT! Those 4 kids that were glued to the stories all accepted Jesus as their Saviour today! Praise the Lord! You never know what God is doing through all the chaos in these kids’ lives; even when it seems no one is paying attention we just walk by faith that the Word of the Lord IS working and IS moving and IS bearing fruit for the Kingdom of God. Oh yes and the same worker that taught club 2 last year also taught this one and the kids here didn’t fail to remind me numerous times of how much fun it was last year and just how amazing the teacher was lol.. It’s all good though.. A little bit of pressure to make club crazy fun is good 🙂

Thanks again for your prayer support this week, It always means a lot to have prayer warriors standing around us claiming victory for us and for these kids!

Hey!

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a long time.. it’s hard to find time when I work right after clubs everyday but God is good and is giving me the energy I need to keep up with the craziness!

This week I have two clubs; the first one has all churched kids where a little 4 year old girl gave her heart to Jesus on Monday 🙂 The second one is about half churched, half un-churched and is mostly 8-10 year old boys so it gets a little wild sometimes haha but it’s fun. It is obvious that some of the boys don’t have a lot of Christian influences in their lives which is something we can pray for! One of them had some really good questions yesterday but kept getting distracted by the other boys so I gave him a Bible that had a page about heaven and salvation so he could read it at home. We could pray for understanding as well, that it would make sense to him and that the Word of God would pierce through any unbelief that might be holding him back from accepting the amazing gift of salvation.

I am feeling a little under the weather this week as well, it seems to be going around so continued prayer for that would be appreciated!

Thanks everyone for your continued support it really means a lot.

God Bless!

Hey! Sorry I havent posted for awhile; I was on holidays last week so I wasn’t teaching and this week I just have one club!

Praise be to God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ! God is good!

My one club this week has been small but good! There are two girls that have come all week that already knew a couple of the songs, they had almost all the verses memorized already, and they have already heard The Little Rascal story before… It has been a bit of a challenge to keep the club interesting and exciting when everything has already been learned and heard haha but it’s also encouraging to see kids plugged in to the church and the Word of God.

There is a young boy that comes with these girls that goes to clubs during the week with this family so he knows about God but has never accepted Jesus as his Saviour before. I had some time to talk with him today and found that he completely understands the gospel and why Jesus had to come to die and what that means for us but when he was given the opportunity to talk to God he said a flat out “no”. I am not sure what is holding him back from wanting the free gift of God but I pray that whatever it is will be revealed and replaced with the truth of who God is.

Please pray for this little boy, he will be at club again tomorrow and I believe God is working in his little heart, preparing him for a life that is turned around whether that is tomorrow or some day soon!

Thanks

Hey everyone!

I am so excited to be back teaching clubs this summer! I didn’t think it was going to happen this year but God is good and has me here for at least half-days this summer.

This week I am teaching a VBS with Joy and Katelyn in Hague; we have had a pretty good turnout so far with a decision for Jesus on Tuesday!

Today after the club Joy and Katelyn were asking some of the kids if they had ever accepted Jesus into their hearts before and 2 girls said that they hadn’t ever done that and that they didn’t want to yet.

It always breaks my heart to hear that because I know what difference Jesus makes in your life when he turns you around and sets you on a new path that leads towards life and love and freedom.. IT’S AMAZING!

I don’t know why they don’t think they are ready yet so I am praying for an opportunity tomorrow to sit down with these girls and hear what they believe and maybe we can replace some untruths or misconceptions of God with the truth of God’s word.

I ask that you join me in praying for these 2 girls today, that they would hear the message of the gospel loud and clear tomorrow and that we as workers would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s work because we know our part is simply to tell them and the rest is beyond us!

Revelation 1:5b-6

“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father- to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.”

Thanks!
