I was born on July,29/1998 in Burma(Myanmar) and moved to Canada when I was 5. I have no prior experience with 5-Day Clubs but I have been involved in VBS at my home church and I love 'hanging out' with kids. Prayer Requests: (1) Boldness and confidence to speak the word of God. (2) Find the spark/passion for the Lord; to serve Him with my everything through teaching children. (3) This experience would shape my life in a way that strengthens my relationship with Christ.

So right off the bat, I was confused and super nervous to start clubs. I was unprepared since I couldn’t find my Rascal Story and my partner, Cecily picked me up and told me we were heading to Spiritwood… Last time I checked, I was supposed to teach in Kindersley. However, everything turned out well in the end.

Club 1: Shell Lake

We had 3 kids come and they were super attentive and very knowledgeable. On our last day, it felt like I wasn’t even teaching the story; since this little girl in the club knew the story of Noah very well. Overall, the kids showed a love for Jesus.

Club 2: Witchekan Reserve

To start off, we had over 20 children on our very first day?!! I was a bit overwhelmed but excited as well. At the end of the first day, we had 6 decisions as well?!! Throughout the week, however our numbers slowly decreased :(… On Friday, we had 8 kids but I was not discouraged because there was 2 out of the plus 20 from the first day that finished all 7 of their lessons! During our club at this reserve, half of the kids would be distracted but luckily, the other half would listen to our stories intently.

Club 3: Spiritwood

Our last club, we had a young Filipino boy who was a big superhero fan. So during the club, he would get distracted and start talking about Batman or some other hero. I was worried if he was actually getting anything out of the club… Yet on Thursday, he showed more interest in the bible story of Noah as well as while we memorized our verses.

I had such an amazing week with Cecily, she really challenged me this week with prayer. In my daily life, my time spent in prayer was few; very few. So, this week, I prayed more than 3 times each day?! Though our clubs had the ups and downs of life, we tried our best to give it all to God because we truly believe that He has a plan.

Thank you & God Bless,

Zam Kim 🙂
