My name is Cecily Wang. I'm 27 years old. I came from China in 2009. Then I had been studying accounting in U of S . I graduated from U of S in 2013. Recently, I just resigned from my job. I don't know my future direction yet. But I'm willing to give my summer to Christ and be transformed by HIM and reached out the lost. My prayer request is please pray that I will keep all my focus on Jesus instead of myself and trust in HIM. Because I am so easy to be distracted by the worldly stuff. I need HIS grace to keep me. The other one is safe driving. I just got my driver license on this past February. I haven't got long distance driving experience yet. Third one is strength and good health. My right side always hurt. Please pray that God will have mercy on me.

Praise The Lord for the Lord is good! In our weakness, we see God is in control!

First, I want do some summarize about last week in Lanigan and Engelfeld. Last week, in total, we had ten children accepted Jesus as their savior. It’s not about the numbers and it’s not about how great our stories is. It’s about Holy Spirit worked in kids heart and drew them to the kingdom of God. We believe that God is doing amazing things this summer and HE had great plan for all of us. Two verses really in my heart “I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” “The one who calls you is faithful and HE will do it.”

This week, I have been teaching clubs with Joy in Saskatoon. Because we live far from each other, one live in the East side and the other one live in the West side of the city. Then we decided Joy will stay with me this week, because we have a club in my driveway in the morning from 9:30 to 10:30.

So this morning, I planned to pick Joy up from her house. I left my home around 8:40 am. It’s a little bit late. When I walked to my car, a bee just bugged me. Then I have to wait there and opened all the doors to let the bee out of the car. Then I got in the car and then set up my GPS. I felt it should be good. But actually it’s a busy hour. The traffic was not very smooth. Then I started feeling nervous. When I almost got to Joy’s house, for some reasons, GPS didn’t work out any more. I got lost. Then I parked in the gas station and sent messages to Joy, my roommate and grandma Vangi to ask for prayers. I confess that I have weakness in planning my time on time and I have tendency to delay doing things. Please pray for me that Jesus will help me to overcome this specific weakness and we are able to be in all the clubs on time.

Then when I picked Joy up, during the road we prayed to God to calm our nerves. It’s the first day but we couldn’t make it on time. I felt bad but we didn’t fall into the guilty scheme tricked by Satan. When we got back home, my roommate told me that a girl came and her mom left her phone number to her. So I phoned her and she brought her daughter to our club.

Even though we only had one girl in this club, I felt very thankful that God drew this girl come and showed HIS mercy to us. We were home safely and no accident had happened.

But please pray that tomorrow at least, we will have five kids come to our first club.

Between our first club and our second club, Joy and I had time to share with each other and got to know each other better. As more as we shared, we found that how great God put us as partner this week , because we have lots of similar struggles and now we can face those struggles together and pray for each other. It is not because how perfect we are. It’s God’s mercy and grace that we can walk along with Jesus together.

Then we realized that unity between partners are so important. So both of us really want to encourage all of workers who have a partner that pray for each other and ask God bring unity between you and your partner. We found out that how power it is to work as a team for God.

So before our second club started, we pray for 10 kids show up. Then in the beginning of club, we have 9 kids. In our heart, we still pray that God one more, please one more. Then a mom with her son came. Even though they left very early, because her son is too young. But still counts. ^ ^ And one girl accepted Jesus as her savior. She is 13 years old. When I asked her have you ever made that decision before, she told no and she went to a Catholic church before. Praise The Lord for her salvation!

So because of the second club is very encouraging, before our third club, we pray that God please bring at least 10 kids to the club. Then in the beginning we only have 8, then the kids kept coming. In the end, we have 13 kids show up. Some of the children just came from China for a short visit with their parents. They will go back to China very soon. Please that God will draw those children to HIM. Maybe this is the last chance they can hear about the gospel. And pray for the parents too. God will soften their heart. Especially pray for a boy, when we did invitation part. He actually raise his hand up. So after club, during snack time, When I approached to him and asked him about his decision. He told me he want to do it but he hasn’t quite ready yet. Please for his salvation and nothing would hinder him to accept Jesus as his savior.

Today, We see that how detail God answered prayers. If we ask, God will do HIS work in HIS owing timing. We just need to be patient and lean to trust HIM more.

God is good! Pray for all of us will have a good sleep and rest tonight. ^ ^

This week, Mariel Unger and I have been teaching clubs in Lanigan and Engelfeld.

We have a morning club from 9:45 to 10:45 in Lanigan. Yesterday we didn’t have kids show up. So Mariel and I decided to do the advertising around that area. One family just cross the street of our hostess, she said that she just forgot about it. We did think the next day, we will have kids show up.

Praise the Lord, this morning, we have four kids show up in this morning club. But when I started telling the story about Tony, I felt a little bit hypoglycemia and my mind cannot think very clearly. But Tony’s story went OK. When I started telling the Bible Story, it didn’t go smooth as It should. I almost fail to finish telling. Thank God help me to finish it. After club, I felt I need more preparation. Our hostess said that she will pray for me and hope afternoon club will go well. I pray to God please have mercy on the kids and they can learn from the stories. And because Lanigan is not a big town. we have another club at night between 6:30 to 7:30. I pray that if God can bring the kids from morning club back, maybe they can learn more and my story maybe will go well than the morning. Then God does answer my prayers! Three out of four come to the evening club. Except one girl’s sister didn’t come back. They looks excited. I am surprised and amazed how God knows our heart and answer the prayer in such detail way.

Our second club in Engelfeld, it’s an Philippine family host the club. Yesterday we have 14 kids show up and they are very keen to learn and well behaved. One girl did accept Jesus into her heart yesterday and she looks serious about her decision. Today 13 kids show up. They all look enjoying the club. I love them.

Our third club start today, because the lady who helped us booked this club yesterday. the club is hosted in Lanigan Hub. Today we have 11 kids show up. They enjoy it. When we do the invitation, we saw three kids raise their hands. But when we are planning to talk to them. They are ready to leave because their parents pick them up. It is a little bit disappointing. We do pray that God will draw them back tomorrow and when we are heading back from Engelfeld to Lanigan, we can start this club earlier, so when we finish our club. They won’t feel rush to leave. And we are able to help them make the decision. We trust that if God draw them to HIM, HE will make this happen.

Our fourth club had 7 kids show up yesterday and 8 kids show up today, including three attend in the morning. Even they heard the stories and the songs, they still very involved in the club at night. That is awesome! The boy who is new today looks not very happy. He looks native kid. Please pray that he will come back tomorrow.

I have two verses want to share with all of us.

Romans 1: 16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

John 4:35
Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Thank you for all your prayers and support!

Thank you for all your diligent prayers brothers and sisters in Christ. ^ ^

I came to the training for the second week right after I resigned from my job. It’s a big decision in my life and probably this decision will change my life direction. Even right now I cannot see next steps, but I trust God will do something amazing this summer and HE have a good plan for all of us!
Because God is good, HE will keep faithful from the beginning to the end.

Last week In Regina, I stayed and taught clubs with two sisters. Their interaction with the children really touched my heart. Especially their acceptance and love to the children. So I started asking God to change my heart and my attitude. I want to make 180 with Jesus as our theme this year.

In our club, we have two decisions. One boy and one girl. Both of them are really keen to learn God’s words. They were excited about the verses we learnt in the club. The boy asked us to underline the verse we learn. Their pure heart to seek God really touch my heart.

And also in one day, when we talked about sins like stealing etc, the girl who accepted Jesus told us she did some thing like that before. Her boldness to admit her sins and not cover her sins really touch me. She didn’t pretend she was a good girl, however, she is willing to come to Jesus to ask forgive her sins. That’s really make me rethink my relationship with Christ. Have I denied something wrong with my heart and not wiling to admit?

Praise The Lord for what HE has already done in these two children’s heart and for what HE will do in this summer. I am looking forward to the next week teaching and for what the Lord is going to do.

I really appreciate your prayers, because I found myself very easy to feel discouraged and anxious about obstacles and unexpected things. Yesterday, because of the misunderstanding with my Bank, I found that the documents I need to sign will be delayed to next week. I will away from Saskatoon to Lanigan to teach clubs next week. So I really pray that God will work it out for me and this thing won’t distract my attention to teach clubs.

And also tonight, I will drive to Lanigan alone. I never drive long distance by myself. Please pray that I will be there on time and find my way safely.

The battle belongs to the Lord. Let’s put on the full armor of God and stand firm in HIS promise. Amen!!
